Hey-O friends!
Today’s post is a writing challenge created by Karen @ Baking in A Tornado. 8 participating bloggers picked 4 – 6 words for someone else to use in a post. All words must be used at least once. All posts will be different as each writer has received their own original set of words. No blogger knows who received their words or in what direction the writer will take them. Until today.
My words are:
appeal ~ circumspect ~ savage ~ theory

The microwave forgot to mention all the rewarmed pizza and (my current favorite) cheesy nachos that it gets to handle. We certainly have put it to good use and with only a few us here most of the time it works well for smaller meals and when everyone has a different idea of what they want to eat. Of course we still love the delicious food that comes from our oven and stovetop courtesy our talented resident chef so you can certainly say we have the best of both worlds. Thanks for an entertaining read and happy Friday the 13th! Love, M
ReplyDeleteHaha! The stove has a lovely layer of dust on it, but thanks for remembering the good ole' days. We have grandkids and teenage boys over today...Keep your fingers crossed. <3
DeleteThat microwave eats better and sees more action than I do. Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Yasss. It's definitely pulling the most energy these days. <3
DeleteMy microwave can relate... the insides of mine look like a crime scene. Glad you are busy spoiling those grandkids. (God, I can't believe you're a grandma!) Hope you all are having a grand time! Love you, girl! xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt's a whole different experience when you get to send the littles back home at the end of the day. In all truthfulness, they are pretty perfect. <3
DeleteLOL mine might want to trade with yours because it complains of being lonely and unused. Thank you for the laugh.
ReplyDeleteDawn aka Spatulas On Parade
Are you cooking wholesome home-cooked meals, Dawn? I miss those days. Wait. Did I ever have those days? <3
DeleteMy classroom microwave can desperately relate. 🤣 I can attest that your grandkids are forever thankful for gramma’s microwave! Especially when it ‘makes’ pizza or baby corn dogs!! We love you and that trusty ole microwave soooo much. :) Thank you for the laughs! Keep the posts coming!! The world needs more of your hilarious-ness now more than ever❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteAw, I love ya, A! Thanks for your sweet words. It looks as if we will all be using our HOME microwaves for the next little while. Self isolation, baby. Be safe <3
DeleteI’m guessing I’d get a much less civil letter from our microwave! Cooking ramen at ungodly hours of the morning, constantly reheating coffee and tea, only to have the cup forgotten in the microwave and reheated again later. I like the witty format and use of words. Great as always mom!
ReplyDeleteThx Chris. Been there, done that with reheating drinks. Hey, it's like a surprise for later! <3
DeleteI loved how you used the words! My microwave would agree and I'm one of those who said they would NEVER use it!
ReplyDeleteI think the era of such business calls for more use of the microwave. At least it's not an ornament for the kitchen anymore! THx for the words, Rena! <3
DeleteAwww, that's probably how my iron feels about me...
ReplyDeleteYour iron? God bless you. Most people here aren't a fan of their irons. Mine gets a lot of use from sewing, but to be honest, I've been through a few of them. I guess that gives them less time to be angry with me :) <3
DeleteMy microwave would go on strike with yours! I should take a nice warm sponge and give it a sponge bath tonight and show it some love!
ReplyDeleteYou should! As should I. LOL. The funny thing is, is that there are other people in this house who never notice how dirty it gets. What's that about? I'm really glad to know so many other people are getting their microwave on. I feel much better. :) <3
