My prediction, given my intimate knowledge of the situation, is that ALL of the things said tomorrow @ P/T conference will be good. Of course, I am biased, as I am in all things Jo Jo. I look forward to hearing any things that anyone dares say the aren't "good." I'm sure that will be a very short, as in blank, post. Luv ya'all...

DeleteOh dear, I'm not sure I'd like the sound of that warning. Can a parent call in sick to the parent/teacher conference? I'd think I'd go with that!

DeleteI have a feeling most if not all of it will be good tomorrow. He is probably just trying to lower our expectations so that a good report will seem even better. You have to give him credit, he has learned how to play the game :)

ReplyDeleteHis report card was great. He did start out the year letting us know that "sitting at a desk" wasn't his cup of tea....One of the reasons I love to blog is so I can record these moments. The youngest definitely has had his share of quotes :)

DeleteSounds like something my kids tell me everytime there's a PTC coming! How clever of them! (and manipulative!?) We just had ours. Thank God it went well and I wasn't unpleasantly surprised! The school my kids go to have PTC every first Friday of the month after school hours. Nothing like keeping a close eye on them, right?
ReplyDeleteVIcki, I'm glad your conferences went well. Once a month is a lot...that would be hard as a parent and as a teacher, but you're right...You definitely get to keep a close eye on the kids. That's always good!

DeleteWell, I am guessing that the "meeting" has taken place by now... I give my man credit for "laying the groundwork." I'm sure he was looking at the meeting as a "50-50" chance of "it can't be so bad if I have SOME good in there." Hey, been there, done that. Here's hoping everybody is smiling!!!

DeleteHow about those Lions?? We went shopping after 3rd quarter. My heart was broken. When Mark showed me the final score on the phone I was sure it was a mistake! So happy for them though.

Ha! You're right on that one. THe conference was terrific. He's doing well academically and more important, he's kind. Whew. The only complaint? The same one I always received. "He's needs to be more organized..." Yeah, he does. I have to find someone who can show him how to be that way :)
