Funny Friday, May 2015
Today’s post is this month’s Funny Friday, a regular feature published on the last Friday of every month. Funny Friday is a collaborative project. Each month one of the participants submits a picture, then we all write 5 captions or thoughts inspired by that month’s picture. Links to the other bloggers’ posts are below, click on them and see what they’ve come up with. I hope we bring a smile to your face as you start your weekend.
Here’s today’s picture. It was submitted by Spatulas on Parade
1. After the honeymoon, Cinderella left yet another shoe behind.
2. As the marathon runners came near, George had a choice. He could save his wife's shoes or his ham and cheese sandwich.
3. Harold was comfortable wearing one shoe and he didn't care who knew it.
4. Before he tripped, Harry's Cloak of Invisibility was a smashing success.
5. Remember the old lady who lived in a shoe? This is her beach house.

Absolute genius!!!!! I can't pick a favorite! Ok, well, HP naturally wins out just a little. ;)
ReplyDeleteI knew Harry Potter would strike a chord! LOL!
DeleteThanks, Stacy
I'm a huge Potter fan so totally LOVE #4! Bloody Brilliant! And the Old Lady one is great, made me chuckle. Have a great weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Candice! Now if I could get a hold of my OWN Cloak of Invisibility!
DeleteOMG...I don't know which is better the Harry Potter one or the Old Lady's beach house.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Karen! If I were the old lady, I'd want a bigger beach house :)
DeleteYou always make me laugh but the last one is definitely my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThank you, my friend. You'd think by now, she would deserve waterfront view, right?
DeleteBeach house? LOL love it
ReplyDeleteHa! Thanks, Dawn. I want a beach house, too!
DeleteLove these!!!!! The old lady's beach house had me rolling. Soooo clever. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angela. It's my wish to live by the beach. Not in a flip-flop, but...
DeleteHappy Friday <3
The shoe lady's beach house, how cute!
ReplyDeleteAs for Cinderella leaving a shoe behind after her honeymoon… there is an expression we use in Swiss German "ich han ehm de Schue geh" literally translates as "I gave him the shoe". What it means is "I told him to leave" (in a relationship)
Bahahaha! I told my husband that just now. He frowned. LOL :)
DeleteSorry to hijack this, but Tamara, that explanation makes it sooooo much funnier!
Delete@Tamara, I have said, "Give him the boot", but I like "the shoe" too :)
Delete@Robin, hijack away :)
Ha! Her Beach House. OMG! Dying! BTW, I didn't realize how close we lived to each other! There's an AFB in between us, but still... really close!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Robin! We do live close, right? I live on the South side of O-town. I think there is a Tai Pan close to you? You need to come over for craft night. It's really not as cheesy as it sounds... :)
DeleteThe Harold comment! Hahaha These are all so hilarious. Great job, shellybean :) Always so funny. Guess I'm destined to be somewhat hilarious then, right? Love you! ❤️
ReplyDeleteThanks, A. I think you have surpassed me in the hilarious department (along with your siblings), but I appreciate the compliment. Thanks for reading/commenting <3
DeleteI would have saved the sandwich too. ;)
ReplyDeleteOn any given day, I'd always save the sandwich ;)
DeleteI vote for the old lady's beach house, although they all were great. Can't blame anyone for ditching their shoe at the beach - beaches were made to walk barefoot on. Hopefully we will get to do that together again soon ;). Love you! - M
ReplyDeleteWe should have taken a picture of your runaway shoe this morning. It would have been a nice addition. Funny how I didn't understand the concept of losing a beach shoe until today. ps. Where was I when you were commenting? Probably eating eggs...

I think you out did yourself this time FF! Had me rolling!
ReplyDeleteThanks, FF. Look, I can even answer you from the sand! LOL. Miss you <3
DeleteI need a beach house.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Ann. Maybe a bit bigger than the one pictured. Is that asking a lot? ;)
