A mostly true journey of a girl, her man, and their three kids; all trying to live harmoniously in cities somewhere in Utah. Names and exact locations may be changed in order to protect the grouchy.
Looks like you've been up in the hills, girl. (Well, at least out in the backyard!). That last one has me stumped. Looks familiar--Causey???, East Canyon???--but I can't quite place it. We were up at the Oaks on Monday and didn't see a lot of color. Just a lot of smoke in the sky. Bring on autumn!
Hi John. I had to call M and ask where that last pic was from. It is (the?) Causey. All I remember is that it was too high for my liking. Gorgeous, but steep. Yesterday, we were completely hazed-out, but we went for a drive on Sunday. Beautiful color from the backyard today. I hope it lasts..All the pics were from my phone; I'd like to get the (charged) camera out tomorrow.
Wow, Michele, those are gorgeous pics. If I lived there I'd get nothing done, I'd spend the whole day looking outside and taking pictures. How lucky you are to live near all that beautiful scenery. You truly deserve The Prestigious Sweet Blog Award for sharing.
You know, my life wouldn't be complete without my Prestigious Sweet Blog Award..I don't know if I could make it through a day (or night) without stopping by my own blog and staring at it with pride..... ;P
One thing I love about moving out here as an adult..A day doesn't go by where I'm not thankful for those mountains. They're always breathtaking.
My dear blogging friend, you know very well that I never get anything done!!
Ann, I feel the same way when I see pictures of the trees in Michigan at this time of the year. Thanks for commenting :) YOU have a beautiful day, too :)
Thanks. Like I said earlier, there is nothing quite like seeing those Mitten leaves change color :( I'm so grateful we are having a beautiful beginning of the season. I hope it lasts for a very long time. Just say no to snow (for now).
Thanks Mayura. Yes, different locations (high and low). That last photo is my favorite. I was surprised it came out so well from the top of a mountain and the inside of a car.
That last photo is breathtaking. Perfect for a postcard. One of the things I miss now that I live in the tropics is the changing of the seasons. We have wet season and dry season, so no colourful leaves, but plenty of warm weather and sunshine. I really do appreciate it when I have a chance to visit other places during autumn, spring or even winter.
Shelly, you live in the tropics! I might give up the seasons for that :) You can wear flip flops all year 'round... I do hope you get to visit your old stomping grounds every now and then :)
Hey Slu, 1st, it IS beautiful outside my window..... 2nd, after that embarrassing attempt at Sunday Night Football, I had my head too low to appreciate it for three days. Ugh. Congrats to your Texans! I was happy to see they won :) Thanks for commenting! -shel
comment #2: yeah, yeah, the pics are awesome, blah, blah, blah!!! let's get real... as i sit here on Sunday morning, i've done my homework. just wanted you to know i'm taking your LIONS -3 over tenn and the over (44) for my TEXANS/broncos games. Booooooooooya!!! slu
Hey-o slu. It's not looking good...2nd quarter and we're down by 8. Thank goodness for our kicker. He has scored all nine points. We'll see what the second half brings.. Next game up is...You guessed it. We'll be rooting for you. Hopefully for a lower scoring game though.. Can anyone say "defense?"
I know. We gave it one last "Heave Ho". I wish it was enough :( So close! It was a really good game for the viewers. 85 total points! Wow is right. Hey, your team is winning handily right now!
Howdy. Beautiful pics. Wishing I were there to see it all in person. Colors are starting to change in the Mittens State! I DO love Fall, but it comes before Winter, something I'm not so fond of. :P Funny, you'd think a girl who used to sled off the roof of the garage into a 10 foot snow drift (it was 10 feet, right??) with her best buds would truly LOVE winter and all that snow!! Nope. ;) Love ya and miss you, FF.
Hey Stranger, I have your article pinned to my cork board. It was so sweet of you. Thanks for making me cry like the baby that I am :) You know how I feel about Winter and all that comes with it. Sledding of a roof at the tender age of, what, 8? Totally worth it. Love and miss you more :(
Hey woman! You know what? I'd love to live by the ocean. Hopefully one day... Until then, the mountains will tide me over. Hope you are having a great day :)
