Funny Friday: May 2015

Funny Friday, May 2015

Today’s post is this month’s Funny Friday, a regular feature published on the last Friday of every month. Funny Friday is a collaborative project. Each month one of the participants submits a picture, then we all write 5 captions or thoughts inspired by that month’s picture. Links to the other bloggers’ posts are below, click on them and see what they’ve come up with. I hope we bring a smile to your face as you start your weekend.

Here’s today’s picture. It was submitted by Spatulas on Parade

1. After the honeymoon, Cinderella left yet another shoe behind.

2. As the marathon runners came near, George had a choice. He could save his wife's shoes or his ham and cheese sandwich.

3. Harold was comfortable wearing one shoe and he didn't care who knew it.

4. Before he tripped, Harry's Cloak of Invisibility was a smashing success.

5. Remember the old lady who lived in a shoe? This is her beach house.

  7. The shoe lady's beach house, how cute!
As for Cinderella leaving a shoe behind after her honeymoon… there is an expression we use in Swiss German "ich han ehm de Schue geh" literally translates as "I gave him the shoe". What it means is "I told him to leave" (in a relationship)

  8. Ha! Her Beach House. OMG! Dying! BTW, I didn't realize how close we lived to each other! There's an AFB in between us, but still... really close!

    1. Thanks, Robin! We do live close, right? I live on the South side of O-town. I think there is a Tai Pan close to you? You need to come over for craft night. It's really not as cheesy as it sounds... :)

  11. I vote for the old lady's beach house, although they all were great. Can't blame anyone for ditching their shoe at the beach - beaches were made to walk barefoot on. Hopefully we will get to do that together again soon ;). Love you! - M

    1. We should have taken a picture of your runaway shoe this morning. It would have been a nice addition. Funny how I didn't understand the concept of losing a beach shoe until today. ps. Where was I when you were commenting? Probably eating eggs...
