Day 25 of Forty: What are you doing NOW?

I can't talk long. It's Saint Patrick's Day and the kids are staying overnight at their grandparent's house. I remember the days when this would only signal a great party with friends and spirits..but... well, we're old, people. The man and I have instead decided to gut our basement bathroom.

Good times. Hey, at least the bathroom is GREEN. That counts for something, right?

Wish us luck trying to put it all back together.

Happy St. Patrick's Day, friends :)

What are your plans this evening?

    1. I know, I know. We finished and watched movies for the rest of the night. If we're not working on the house, our bums are usually parked in front of some screen. If you saw the house today, in such disarray, you would be encouraging us to buy a vacuum and/or a dumpster. :)

    1. Thanks! This one is going to take a lot longer to finish. The floor was a mess (everything slopes), the sink cabinet needs replacing and I think we're going to take out the central vac too. Old house problems.. :(

  4. We really got quite a bit done for one day. I guess demo work is harder to screw up, right? And as of right now, the toilet is still in one piece! Sure, we could have picked a more fun activity for St. Patrick's Day, but just think - five years from now we'll still be appreciating the time and effort we put into making the house a little nicer. Good work, shellybean!

    1. Five years, eh? I hope we're finished by then! Hopefully the styles won't have changed too much; I see this decorating thing as a bit cyclic. I do know, however, that the 70's green central van is NOT coming back in style; at least not THAT one :) Thanks for your help. I know I said I'll die in this house, but a condo is looking pretty attractive about now :)

  6. You two are nuts! Come help me with MY house. :)
My man and I hit the town St. Patty's evening.(okay, the local pub and down the road to a friend's home!) It was super nice to spend an evening with him. Oh, and did I mention the green beer. :)

    Can't wait for more pics!!!

  7. Nick Nack, I adore you and the fact that you two did the St. Patty's day gig and used the word "pub." Ahem, the bathroom had an issue that couldn't be ignored. If it helps, we self-admittedly are NUTS. <3 you!
