Day 35 of Forty: Guess who won some bling?

Hello friends. Thank you for heeding the call and making your way over to Nickie's site. If you didn't make it in time for the contest, still try and check out her jewelry site. She's been working hard all day setting that baby up. If you need help finding it, I've set up a link over on the right side of my page under my Facebook widget. Or you can message me for any information.

I've got an exciting date tonight with a pair of scissors, a ton of color, foil and a girlfriend who is beyond good at getting rid of all my grey. Her job seems to get harder every time we meet.

Anyway, I'm posting this part of the blog, and then having some poor soul from my family insert the winner of today's drawing...

The winner of a zippy and a piece of bling is....

First, Be jealous of the "bling" covering all that grey..

My awesome hairdresser/magician/friend trying to draw her own name...

Hil! Woo Hoo for you!

Ha-Ha! Congratulations to Hilarie M!! Comment at the end of this post and leave me your email address so we can get down to the prizes.

Again, Thanks to EVERYONE for supporting my forever-friend, Nickie. My blog friends (new and old) seriously rock.

Happy Tuesday, friends!

    1. Oh dear, you are so welcome, Nick Nack. My friend was working that grey 'til the wee hours of the night! I had to send the blog pictures to Mark to post for me. The literal cherry on top for me yesterday? My magician friend took me for cheesy fries AND hot fudge brownies at 11:00 pm! Cheers to a day reflective of all things good. My heart is glowing today, but I think that is the the heartBURN. Be older, Michele :) <3 you!

    1. K, I so appreciate you commenting. I'm glad your zippys are being put to good use. Perhaps one day there will be plane tickets in one to come see your sis. I will have to rob someone for them,... but who knows? <3

  3. Oh!! I'm so happy! I'm compiling a big list of happy thoughts as I embark on a weekend of moving. But, because it's us, and our lives always seem to get complicated, this will be my craziest move ever! It's like a three-way move. We're moving ALL my stuff to the new house now. We're moving MOST of my fiancé's stuff from his apartment to the new place, and then we're moving MOST of my daughter's stuff to the fiancé's apartment. She'll be camping out at the new house and he'll be camping out at the apartment for a few weeks while we await the big day, then they'll switch places! All that to say, that while we're moving this weekend, I need a big list of happy thoughts to go to when things get crazy! This is perfect timing!!

    1. Hil, that IS a crazy move and I don't envy you one bit. However, you are stepping into a wonderful journey with your big ole family and I couldn't be more excited for you! Make sure I get an appropriate address ( I think I have one) to send your goodies to. Thanks for all of your support. I am ALWAYS here when things get too "crazy"! Congrats again!

  4. Congrats to Hilarie! I hope you love your bling and zippy!! Good stuff! As for Michele....so glad I could be a helper last night :) Still trying to work off the cheesy fries and brownie...but oh was it worth it...especially the love and laughter. Thanks for everything!! By the way...we all got to see the bling in your hair but where is the finished product??? 10 cheers for that master piece!!!

    1. R, you were more than a helper AND the man loved the pic of the scraper machine. How on earth can we get that thing down my stairs? Who would believe I was getting my hair done amidst glue and old linoleum? Well I guess anyone who knows me.. Yeah, that "finished" product is now my FB profile. THanks for taking it "pre-brownie-smothering!" Love you and your guts!

  5. What, no "after" pics of the hair on the blog? Thankful, I got to see it first hand and can report to everyone that it looks great. Good job R! I didn't win the contest but got a much better prize!

  7. Getting your hair done is so therapeutic! I especially love having someone wash my hair for me, and massage my scalp!!! Those zippies are so great, I keep the bits and bobs for my crocheting in mine. Congrats to Hilarie on winning- I know the jewerly and the zippy will be ever so fabulous and wonderful!

  8. Thanks, Savannah. My hairdresser is great at the massaging thing. I was telling her a story and had to stop during it..and then I couldn't remember what I was saying! I'm very fortunate to have her. Plus, she likes to barter. What is better than that these days? I'm glad you like your zippy. Hil is getting married so the bling will arrive just in time! WooHoo!

  9. I absolutely LOVE the bling!! It's beautiful and great quality! My daughters are already finding occasions to borrow! The zippy is great, too! When my youngest (who has her own shellybean bag) saw the cute lining inside, she said, "that's what I love about shellybean, there is always a cute little surprise somewhere!"
    Thanks so much!!!
