Irony

1. Buying five books on the topic of "simplifying your home."
2. Spending two hours researching how to "be present in the moment."
3. Sending the man out for fast food while I write a healthy menu for the week.

I'm on a roll, man.

Happy 2012, friends. This year is going to rock. Seriously.

  2. For what it's worth, I thought you were five times more effective at simplifying our home, very "present in the moment" and I enjoyed the delicious fast food before I start what I am sure will be an equally delicious healthy diet you have planned! Time well spent and not ironic at all, if you ask me.

    Happy New Year!

Thank you for always making me feel like I'm not failing..I appreciate that..BTW, I'll take the number two combo with a coke. Ah, there I am....

  4. This year better rock. I need a stretch of good and calm and happy for awhile. I know, I know, challenges make you grow. But, I'm tired of feeling all growthy (and tired of being teary).

On the topic of being present, I like Pema Chodron's audiobooks (like the "Getting Unstuck" one).

  5. Nicole, I can't believe you mentioned Pema Chodron. I just ordered a book from Amazon she co-wrote on peace and the mind. Go you, girl. Open mind.. :) Cheers to good and calm!
